Names are usually derived from an ancient culture or tradition. Often times they have
unique meanings and every once in a while comes an individual who lives up to his
name. Harold Jamez is just such a person. He is an over achiever who possesses a stellar
business acumen, not to mention musical talent.
Harold Jamez cites T.I., Dr. Dre, J. Cole, Marvin Gaye, Kendrick Lamar, Rakim, and
Tupac among his musical influences. Growing up on the Gulf Coast in Lake Charles,
Louisiana and Houston Texas, and eventually landing in Denver, Colorado, it is not
hard to understand how Harold Jamez was born with music flowing through his veins.
He is a wordsmith who has always been an emcee at heart. As a child, he would jot
down his thoughts during the day, only to later use them to create rhymes, often
utilizing different rhythms and pattern schemes. This became his escape from the
world around him until finally, he learned how to memorize his lyrics, storing them
in his arsenal for later use.
Harold Jamez learned some hard truths of life as a teenager, when he was forced to
take to the mean streets of Denver, Colorado. He became devoted to hustling, living
life between the streets and the studio. His story does not end there though and
fortunately, it does not have the somber ending like so many others. He credits music
for keeping him from being incarcerated and he credits hustling for helping him to
keep a perspective on life and for giving him a voice to transcend negativity, doubt
and fear.
This multi-talented artist, writer and co-producer has plans to drop his new single and
video, “Killer Hustle” in the near future, with goals of expanding his music overseas.
Through hard work and solid projects, Harold Jamez plans to touch countless listeners
as he embarks upon a independent tour to promote his brand. As Harold Jamez prepares to
take his place among the stars, he continues to work tirelessly to make sure he is heard.
You can bet one day soon, he will make all of his dreams come true.
